PlayOn / NFHS Network, Founder, CEO

David Rudolph is CEO of PlayOn! Sports (PlayOn). Headquartered in Atlanta, PlayOn is the nation's leading high school media company and live streams more sports events than any company in the world. In 2013, PlayOn! Sports and the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) created the NFHS Network – a joint venture that aggregates the sports media and related rights of state high school athletic associations. This year, the NFHS Network will stream more than 300,000 live sports events and is the destination for fans across the country to watch live and on-demand high school sports events. Rudolph purchased the assets of PlayOn from Turner Broadcasting in December 2008.

Previously, Rudolph was senior vice president of strategy and new products for Turner Broadcasting System (TBS). In this capacity, he directed a team charged with working across TBS divisions to identify and analyze market concepts and develop internal ideas leading to products of scale outside the company’s traditional network businesses. He was also charged with developing the company’s strategic direction, as well as overseeing the company’s corporate development efforts, including minority investments and M&A activities.

Formerly vice president and general manager of Turner South, Rudolph was responsible for all day-to-day operations of TBS's regional entertainment network, the first regional entertainment basic cable service in television history, including programming, budget, and staffing matters. He wrote the business plan for and oversaw the development of Turner South, which launched October 1, 1999.

Rudolph earned a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
