Frequently Asked Questions

Why is this year’s SVG Summit called SVG Summit: Connect?

This will be the first-ever SVG event that takes advantage of a technology platform to help you meet attendees and event sponsors. You can connect with attendees with the SVGCONNECT Networking Tool and you can connect with event sponsors with the Meet for the Fund Tool.

How do I get started?

Once you register and select a password, you can log-in to build your own event calendar, watch the sessions (live and VOD) and start connecting with other attendees and sponsors right away.

Explain the different parts of this year’s conference program?

  • Conversations: Hear how the leagues and their broadcast partners got back on the air in the middle of the pandemic (two Conversations per day, 11:30 am and 1:15 pm ET).
  • Town Halls: Live discussions with network production executives, remote services, and professional leagues (one Town Hall per day, 12:15 pm ET).
  • Roundtables: SVG committee and community sessions that will emphasize discussion, debate, and discovery (two tracks at a time, four tracks per day (2:00 – 4:45 pm ET).
  • Tech Tours: SVG VIPs curate topical 30-minute, on-demand “tours” that will highlight the hottest technology introductions from our Event Sponsors.
  • Post-Game: Initiatives Day: Thursday, December 17 is dedicated to SVG Committee meetings; everyone can join the conversation and get involved.

How can I watch all this programming?

Build your show schedule by saving the days/times/links to your own a calendar. And even if you can’t attend everything live, all sessions are being recorded and are available on-demand

How do I start “connecting?”

Once you log-in you’ll arrive at your personal SVG Summit: Connect page where you can use the SVGCONNECT Networking Tool to start networking (right away) with the other show registrants and you can use the Meet with the Fund Tool to schedule meetings with Event Sponsors in support of the SVG Fund.

How does the SVGCONNECT Networking Tool work?

Check the Networking Tool Directory every day as new colleagues and business partners register to attend. Sort by name, company, job responsibility or technology interest and you can identify someone you would like to meet with. Simply send them a private message (we don’t reveal email addresses) and take things from there by yourselves before, during or after the show.

What’s the Meet for the Fund Networking Tool?

Use this Tool to schedule meetings, demos or catch up calls with one of our Event Sponsors before, during or after the show. For every attendee who schedules three or more Event Sponsor meetings, SVG will donate $100 to the SVG Fund in support of our industry members in times of need. Only Event Sponsors listed in the Meet for the Fund Tool qualify towards your three-vendor meeting pledge.

Can I meet with more than three vendors and contribute more money to the Fund?

We encourage you to meet with as many vendors as you find valuable, and we encourage you to directly contribute to the Fund; however, SVG will contribute a maximum of $100 per attendee for your first three scheduled meetings.

Is there any specific time-frame to hold these Meet for the Fund meetings?

Hold them anytime that is convenient for you and the vendor. We have set aside an hour at the end of every show day (Dec 14-17) for meetings, but there is no specific time limit or “exhibit hours.”

How do I document that my Meet for the Fund meetings took place?

This is a Meet for the Fund “pledge,” and SVG will make its donation based on your outreach messages reported directly to us from the Meet for the Fund Tool. No further documentation is necessary.
