AGENDA TOPICS:

3:30 p.m.: Reflections on 2020
To say 2020 was a year when the production playback was torn up and thrown away would be an understatement. In fact, the playback seems to be rewritten every week. We will begin our look at the future of sports production by looking at the current state of sports production.

3:55 p.m.: 2021 Sports Production Forecast
There were two key three-word phrases in the year of 2021: “you’re on mute” and “the new normal.” How will 2020 experiences in production shape 2021 plans? Professional and amateur athletics will face many of the same challenges with respect to scheduling, social distancing, and COVID-19 protocols so will there be a development of a “new normal” that builds consistency week after week?

4:20 p.m.: Production in a Post-COVID World
It’s next September. NFL and college football stadiums are at 65% capacity. Tailgating is back. What will the compound look like? Will personnel still be working from remote locations or will the production team be on site? In a cloud-based, IP-connected world – where are we headed?
